Montecito, California - Westmont FIRE

Hey everyone. please keep praying. Part of Westmont has been burned down - some of my friends lost their rooms.I'm not sure about the damage right now - some of the news is exaggerative - but we are not sure of a lot of things. Last night we were locked in our gym, on campus. It is supposedly fire proof - so they taped us in. It got smokey (because of vents into / out of the building. It was warm too. But Montecito Fire Department was on our campus, surrounding us.
It started at 5:45 pm. We had hot winds that day - and it spread really fast once it started - high winds. I am okay. At 2:30am they said we could leave if we had a car in specific parking lots. I got to leave with my friend Carson and some girls he knows/live near me. So right now I'm someone's house.
I'm okay. All I have is my shorts and t'shirt, and tennis shoes from my Fitness by the Sea (physical education) class and my phone and keys. Nobody from Westmont has been hurt. sitting here, now, the smoke is getting worse - and can't see the mountains any more.High winds expected the rest of the day. I have been dealing with it okay, I am not worried (too much) about my room - but it's only been hitting me now. So would appreciate your prayers. No school for us today - and we'll see about monday / next week etc.

I'm okay - I usually am level/clear headed in such situations. it's starting to hit me, a little. is stressful. more for other people / westmont, I think. And we're still not sure what is going on but there's a lot of smoke and fire is spreading.

it was interesting to see the reaction of the student body last night. thanks for being there for me, you guys.
if you're in the usa, and wanna talk, feel free to call me. hope you all are doing well.
blessings, and love. H.
